The Wee image is called Posey and coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are from a CD by Creative Crafting World called Perfect Papercraftingh Companions.

The black card is from stash.

Candy Stripes

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?  Getting in the festive spirit yet?  No me neither.  I just cannot get my head round that it is December and not long to Christmas, and even though the weather is cold and on some mornings very frosty, it just does not feel like it should be Christmas.  Anyway, I have got all my cards done or at least as many as I can be bothered to do this year!  How are all your plans coming along?

One thing I do know for certain is that these Thursday seem to come round very quickly, and that means it is Crafty Little Fairies Challenge Blog time again!  This week the theme is Candy Stripes and this is my take on it and I apologise in advance for the poor quality of the photo, it just seems impossible to get a half decent photo at this time of year:

The stamp is a Wee Stamp called Iris and is coloured with Promarkers.

Papers are Papermania Capsule Collection - Spots and Stripes.

The black card is from stash.

Christmas is Coming

I just cannot believe how quickly this year is going!  Seems only like yesterday I was sat out in the glorious sun and enjoying the warmth, now its Autumn and Winter is just round the corner! Having said that, today is a lovely day, sun is shining and even though it is breezy and quite cool it is lovely.  But the colder days and darker nights are a reminder to me that Christmas is on its way and time to get started on the Christmas cards!

I have decided this year as I have so many to do and I am always struggling to get them finished that I would do clean and simple cards like the ones below:

The images are from Lili of the Valley's new Christmas range and are coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.  The papers are just some scraps I found in my scraps box.  The red card and ribbon are from stash.

Some do come along and play with Crafty Little Fairies, you now use any image you wish and we would all love to see you fab designs!

I'm Back!

Hello lovely bloggers, sorry not been around much, don't know what happened but I just simply lost the desire to craft, just could not be bothered and it felt like a chore.  So I decided to have a bit of a break and have not even looked at crafty mags!  Anyway, this weekend I got the urge to make some quick Christmas cards, I always have loads of cards to make at Christmas so I have decided this year they are going to be clean and simple:

The stamps used are from the Crafters Companion Barkley range and coloured with Promarkers.  The paper and ribbon are all from stash.

Hope you are all keeping well lovely blog buddies and I am hoping to be visiting you sooner rather than later!

Exciting News!

Times change, and we Fairies are changing with them.  This week will be the last ever challenge as Lili's Little Fairies.  No, please, don't be too sad, read on.

We have had a blast as LLF but it is time for a new start and from next week (5 September), we are becoming Crafty Little Fairies, a new look and eventually a new address.

Something else new and, we think, very exciting - we are opening the challenge up to use images other than LOTV.  So, you can still use your Lili's and we would love to see them, but you can also use other images too.  How cool is that?!  I am sure the Fairies will continue to share their love of Lili with you all but this does mean more of you will be able to join in the challenges with us.

So, we hope you are as excited about all this as we are - see you next week for the first ever Crafty Little Fairies Challenge!

Vintage/Shabby Chic

I cannot believe how quickly these Lili's Little Fairies Challenge comes round!  Only seems five minutes since I did the last one!

This week's theme is vintage/shabby chic.  Now, much as I love seeing cards in this theme, it is something I have never been able to master, so I am not entirely convinced that my card is anything vintage or shabby chic, but here goes:

The Lili image is coloured with Promarkers.  Everything else is just bits and pieces I had laying around.

Come on over to Lili's Little Fairies and have a go, its really good fun!

Here Comes The Girls!

Hello everyone, sorry not been around lately, the weather here has been so warm that I could not bear coming up to my play room, it was just too hot!

This week's Lili's Little Fairies Challenge is Here Comes The Girls:

Now I know it looks like its on the squiff, but I can assure it everything is straight, its just my fab camera skills that are at fault!

The image has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and I have used green Sakura Stardust pen for the spots on her dress.

The papers and sentiment are from a wonderful CD by Creative Crafting World called Perfect Papercrafting Companions.  The black card is from stash.

Come on over and have a play at Lili's Little Fairies, its such good fun!

Fast Cars and Camper Vans

I would firstly like to say hello to my lovely new followers, its fab to see you and always appreciated!  I will be popping round to visit your blogs very soon and see your wonderful creations!

Last Friday was my friend and her husband's birthday (they share the same date).  Doing a card for my friend was easy, she loves pigs but her husband - groan.  Both my friend and hubby love camper vans, I haven't got a thing with camper vans on so it was a quick text to her to say 'help!'.  Anyway, apparently he also loves fast cars and I do not think you can get any faster with these:

I made a very simple card using a kit from Hunkydory which has a lot of male images in it - a life saver!  The image is decoupaged with about six layers.

Hot Stuff

And it has been quite warm last week here, this week not so good with rain and then sun, typical British Summer!

Anyway, this month's Without Words Challenge is to use hot colours : red, orange, hot pinks etc.  I don't quite know if you could say my card used hot colours but it was certainly warm in my craft room when I was making it!

The Whimsy stamps is called Sweet Sparkle and I have coloured her with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.

The paper is Wild Rose Studio Floral and the green card is from stash.

I have used a die by Die-namics to cut the corners.

In The Garden

It's Thursday and its Lili's Little Fairies Challenge Day!  These Thursdays come round so quickly, is scary!

The theme this week is In The Garden.  Now I don't know about you, but I am not at all green fingered.  I wish I was, but I am not so our garden at the moment is flower free.  It has pebbles and decking and that is it.  I am wanting flowers but they will have to go in tubs and luckily a good friend of hubby's loves gardening so at least I will have someone to plant, prune and generally look after them for me!

I do apologise for the qualify of the photo, it isn't squint, its just my photo taking!

The Lili image has been coloured with Promarkers.

Papers used are: Milton & Co and Wild Rose Studio Floral.

The butterfly has been cut using a freebie I got from a magazine and you cannot see it very well but I have used crystal glitter on its wings.

So, pop over and join in the fun at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge, would love to see you there!

Good Luck!

Hope you are managing to enjoy the lovely sunny weather we have here, so nice to feel warm for a change!  As I type this I have been sat out in the garden and admiring my new purchase: a sleepy dragon!  Anyone who knows me know I love and adore dragons of any description, I have loads of dragon ornaments scatter about the house, in fact I am running out of places to put them!

As soon as I saw this cutie I just had to have him!  I have only got one other dragon in our garden and as he was feeling lonely I got him a play mate!

Anyway, on to this week's card for Lili's Little Fairies Challenge, so pop over, join in and have fun!

The Lili image has been coloured with Promarkers.

Papers are Me to You Spring Chic and the sentiment is from a set by Craftwork Cards.

Spots & Stripes

Hello bloggers, its Thursday so that means it is Lili's Little Fairies Challenge!  This week it is spots and stripes which are a favourite of mine, not to wear just to craft with!  When I started this card I decided to do the girl with a blue dress, which turned out green and I ended up doing green and purple, one of my favourite colour themes.  It was not planned like that but just developed!

So come on over and join in all the fun at Lili's Little Fairies, looking forward to seeing you there!

The Lili image is coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.

Papers are Papermania Capsule Collection - Spots & Stripes Pastels.

Where Has The Sun Gone!!!

And I wish it would come back!  After the glorious Bank Holiday when we were walking round in short sleeves and feeling quite hot, we are now back to the wind, rain, bitterly cold and wearing long sleeves!

Never mind, at least my house is extra clean due to staying indoors and not soaking up the sun!

This image is Mulberry Wood - Birthday Wishes and is coloured with Promarkers.  The sentiment comes from the same set of stamps.  The pink card is from stock.

Sorry for the quality of the picture, my photo skills do not get any better!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Use a Sentiment
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes with optional extra to use two stamps

Anything But A Card

Well, this is my second card (or not as this week's challenge is not a card!) as a Lili's Little Fairy! When I saw that the challenge was anything but a card I groaned inside, I don't usually make anything but cards, occasionally a box to fit the card in but other than that, nothing but I must say I enjoyed the challenge and came up with this:

The Lili image has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.  I also used Anita's glaze on the balloon, it was still wet when I took this photo and that's why it looks like a blob!

The papers are Dovecraft Back to Basics and the red card is from stash.

The paper bag is from Creative Crafting World and the die is from Quixotic Paperie.

So everyone, come on over to Lili's Little Fairies and join in the fun, hope to see you there!

We Have Sun!

Yes we have actually had glorious sunshine today!  Been warm too which is an added bonus!  Roly has been out sunbathing and he just will not come in when the sun is shining, he is just so happy I just cannot make him come indoors, unless it gets too hot, then I have to carry him inside!

I have done the following card for a few challenges and this cute little bear makes me think of sunny days:

The Crafters Companion image and sentiment is from the Mulberry Wood series and called Smile and has been coloured with Promarkers.  The card is from stash.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafting Musketeers - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Anything Goes

So the challenge for this week is a photo inspiration:

And this is my first DT card using the picture as inspiration:

Blossoms & Bows

What a lovely day everyone!  The sun is shining and it is WARM!!!  We even had our breakkie outside this morning, brilliant!  I hope it stays for a few months!

I think the sun has inspired my card today for the Penny Black and More challenge - Blossoms and Bows.  I have used mainly orange, not a colour I particularly like and didn't realise it was turning out to be predominantly orange until I had nearly finished it but I am quite pleased with the way it has turned out.

The Penny Black image is coloured with Promarkers, the card, ribbon and flower are all from stash.  The card blank is from Creative Crafting World.

In Stitches

Good afternoon lovely bloggers, hope you all had a lovely Easter and didn't eat too much chocolate!  We had some gorgeous weather over the Easter break, been a bit dull the last couple of days but today is nice and sunny though still cold but at least we are going in the right way!

When I saw Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - All Stitched Up I nearly had a heart attack.  I have all on sewing on a button on a garment and the only other stitching I do is cross stitch!  Even though the challenge says you can use faux stitching I could not in a million years do faux stitching in a straight line!  Luckily I have got some faux stitching stamps which were from Lily of the Valley and this is my first attempt at stitching and can honestly say I am not impressed with the result!  Its one of those cards that I think 'mmmm not sure about this'!  Hey ho, its done now and I will have to practice more!

The image, coloured with Promarkers,  is a stamp from Lili of the Valley as is the stitching.  Everything else is from stash.  I have glittered the fairy's wings, her wand and the little dots on her top.

I am entering this in the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge.

Buttons n Bows

Well, we have actually had sun this week!  Even managed to get a couple lines of washing out too!  It still been very cold but it is just so nice to feel the warmth of the sun for a change!  We had a few flakes of snow this afternoon but thankfully they have gone and hope they don't come back!

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge this week is Buttons n Bows:

The image is Lili of the Valley and is one I have not used yet.  I think she is adorable!  I have coloured her with Promarkers.

Papers are Match Makers - Floral Prints and Me To You - Spring Chic.

Black card, ribbon and buttons are from stash.

For My Sissy

No, not my sissy, this is an order for a friend!  I am always apprehensive when I receive orders (though I do love doing them) in case they are not what they were hoping for.  I have never had any complaints so far and thankfully my friend said this was just what she wanted so I can breathe easy again!

Stamp used is from Lili of the Valley.
Papers are: Helz Cuppleditch - Riverside Revels, Boofle Designstax and Nit Wit - Perfect Pair.
Black card is from stash and sentiment is computer generated.

Spring Colours

The only spring colours we have here at the moment is white!  Started snowing on Friday and woke up to a winter wonderland yesterday and it continued to snow all day!  Seems to be thawing today and the sun dared to show its face but not for long!

The Lili's Little Fairies Challenge this week is Spring Colours:

The image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

Papers are : Bear Necessities by Nitwit and Dreamcatcher by First Edition.

The black card and ribbon are from stash.

I have also used glitter on the flower centres, bee and butterfly but my picture does not show the sparkle!

I would also like to enter this card in Crafty Catz Challenge - Sparkle with a Box.

Bloglovin'

Hello my lovely blog friends, I am sure that you all know that Google Reader may be withdrawn on the 1st July.  Totally not on!

Anyway, a very good alternative I have been told about is Bloglovin'.  It is very easy to register, if I can do it anyone can believe me!

The button is on my sidebar so please feel free to take yourself over there and sign up.  I really don't want to lose any of my followers I would hate to lose even one of you!

Its A Dog's Life

When I saw the theme for Stamping With The Dragon Challenge - Its A Dog's Life, I just had to have a go!  I totally love all animals but when it comes to domestic pets it has to be dogs.  I have been round them all my life, my parents have always had dogs, they had a dog before I was born who apparently used to guard my pram and cot!  I can't remember her but all the other since and the other numerous animals we have had, cats, budgies, hamsters but have always gone back to our faithful friends!  So I wanted to do a really lovely doggy card but unfortunately it has not turned out how I wanted, I had this design in my head but on 'paper' its not turned out the way I want.  Hey ho, perhaps someone will like it!

The image is Balloons by Katy Sue Designs.  The red and gray card paper and card are from stash as is the ribbon.

Hello Spring!

Though not today because it keeps raining and snowing!  Warm weather will soon be here, that's what I keep telling myself!

Den is really cracking on with the bedroom, he has now stripped off all the old paper and it is nearly ready for plastering - can't wait!

For this card I have used Party Paws - Flower from Bamboo stamp (from Crafters Companion) and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pens.  The sentiment came from the same pack.  Pink card and gem are from stash.

60th Birthday

Good evening Bloggers, hope you are having a good weekend.  We have been very busy today.  Hubby ordered a skip for today, now usually they do not start work until 9 a.m. but we were rudely woken at 7.30 a.m., the skip had arrived!  Den had to dash down stairs while pulling clothes on over his jimjams, I just wandered down at my own pace, no need for me to rush!  We are re-doing our bedroom and everything is going to be replaced, furniture, flooring, skirting boards, even going to be re-plastered so its a major job and this last week we have had a good clear out getting rid of stuff we no longer want and shoving everything else in the loft, I never knew I had so much junk!

Anyway, in between all that I have had a 60th birthday card to make for Den's boss, she's a lovely lady so I wanted to do something special for her:

Everything is from a Hunkydory kit which I got for these type of occasions.  The silver and purple card are from stash.

Spring Is In The Air!

Though you certainly wouldn't think it at the moment, we have had snow, rain, wind, sunshine, just about every weather we could have!

Never mind, Easter will soon be here so hopefully there will be some decent weather for the four day holiday I will be having - yipeeee!

Without Words Challenge this month is Easter/Spring and could be used for either Spring or Easter time:

Spring Fever

Spring may be here but these last few days have been more like November!  Certainly doesn't put me in the mood to do a Spring card but definitely need some pretty colours to brighten a very dull and rainy day!

Apologies for the bad photo, this is not the best of days for photo taking!

The image is Wild Rose Studio - Bunny and Bee and the papers are Papermania - Lucy Cronmwell Designstax.  Green card and flowers are all from stash.

I have also used Sakura glitter pen on the bee and some of the flowers in the image.

Fantasy

Good afternoon everyone, where has the sun gone?!  We had a few days of lovely sunshine even though it was cold and now this week we have had thick fog, rain and just generally miserable!  Hay ho, hopefully the warmer weather will be with us soon - I hope!

I decided to have a go at the Squirrel and the Fox challenge.  I came across this one while browsing other blogs and the challenge took my eye as its one of my favourite subjects - fantasy:

St. David's Day

Good afternoon everyone in blog land, hope you are having a good day.  Gorgeous sunshine and blue sky here, looks just like a Summer's day until you go outside and it is still bitterly cold but the sun just makes you feel so much better and happier!

On the 1st March it was St. David's Day here in the UK which is the theme for Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge.  This is my take on it:

I have used Dreamy Dragon by Wee stamps coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and Promarkers.  Papers are Wild Rose Studio Floral paper stack and Milton & Co paper stack.  The Green and yellow card is from stash.

Something Simple

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  Yesterday we had a lovely sunny day but the sun has disappeared and its still bitterly cold.  Roll on Spring time!

Below is a card made for a friend of ours.  He was rushed into hospital last week and had an emergency operation.  He spent and few days on the high dependency ward but luckily he has now been allowed home.  He is still quite ill but getting better every day so wanted to send a quick card to cheer him up:

The image and sentiment is Fizzy Moon and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

Butterflies!

I think there is nothing more lovely than a butterfly fluttering about on a warm sunny day.  Think the warm days are a long way off yet but today it has been really sunny here, so much better than the white stuff!

Lili's Little Fairies challenge is Butterflies:

The image is of course from Lili of the Valley and the papers are from the Nitwit Collection - Promises.  Image is coloured with Promarkers and the green card is from stock.

I know the card looks on the squint but I can assure you it isn't, its just my amazing camera skills!

Howzat!

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping warm and cozy and not had much snow!  We snow all day Wednesday and by the evening it was quite deep but then it rained all night and by Thursday morning the snow had gone.  Lovely sunny day here and my little Roly is wanting to sit outside and sunbathe even though I tell him its just not warm enough!  Bless him, he loves his sun!

This card is not for any challenge, its for a friend of ours who is 50 today and he is mad on cricket!  We are off to his birthday party tonight so hopefully that should be fun!

The image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured in Promarkers.  The blue card is from stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Love Is In The Air

Good afternoon one and all, hope you are all well and keeping warm.  Hope all your snow has gone too.  We are supposed to be having some this afternoon and tomorrow but so far it is just raining and very cold.

It will soon be that time of the year again, yes it will be Valentines Day when we all get bombarded with cards and declarations of love, well some of us do anyway!  I wait every year for the postie to bring me sacks of cards and every year he disappoints me, think I may have to have words with him!

The following card I have done for four challenges:

The image is from Lili of the Valley and is coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.  The red card and roses are from stash.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

So this is my offering for the Without Words Challenge.  The stamp used is from Wild Rose Studio.  The papers, gold card and ribbon are all from stash.

New Beginnings

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and not suffering from the effects of the white stuff the UK is supposed to be having.  We have had no snow as yet, but it is forecast for tomorrow.  We'll wait and see!

At long last a card from me!  This is for the Joanna Sheen Challenge : New Beginnings.  So what is more a new beginning than a New Year!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all, hope its a fab one!  Did you all have a good Christmas?  I hope Santa brought you lots of lovely things to play with.

No card to show you at the moment, may be MIA for a little while.  We have been getting the little bedroom cleared of all the junk and stuff that is in there and boxes put back into the attic.  I want it turning back into the bedroom as it is supposed to be.  I'm due to have an op on my foot sometime this year so want to be able to go and sleep in there while my foot recovers.  We started New Year's Day and just finished it.  I ended up with loads of boxes in my room for me to sort out, just finished those today and now need to get the craft room back into some sort of order, I've got play stuff all over that needs putting away and just a general tidy and re-organisation!

So I am hoping to back in the swing of things very soon and visiting all your lovely blogs!
